Shane Cox

performer/recording artist/educator

Band Leader

Shane has started and lead multiple projects in both California and in Minnesota. Brass music is an integral part of Shane’s life, starting in Afrobeat and Reggae bands in Idaho and evolving as he spent time in New Orleans playing in the brass bands. In California Shane continued expanding his brass knowledge playing Balkan brass, cumbia, and jazz groups.

Shane incorporates inspirations from all of these genres in his original music projects where he composes, arranges, and leads all of the shows and recordings they play.
